Handheld gadgets – be they BlackBerrys, iPhones, Kindles, or Razrs – continue to increase their importance as content platforms as well as their threat to traditional media and publishing business models. In this session, we’ll look at what’s changing with technology, how publishers are serving that technology, and most of all what consumers are demanding. Don’t look now but the future is here.

He is the executive producer and host of the HBR IdeaCast, one of the world’s leading business podcasts, as is a frequent contributor to HarvardBusiness.org’s Conversation Starter blog. He was formerly director of programming and production for Captivate Network.
Tamara J. Erickson is both a McKinsey Award-winning author and popular and engaging storyteller. Her compelling views of the future are based on extensive research on changing demographics and employee values and, most recently, on how successful organizations work. Erickson has co-authored three Harvard Business Review articles and the book Workforce Crisis: How to Beat the Coming Shortage of Skills and Talent. She is President of The Concours Institute, the research and education arm of BSG Alliance
