Jed White is an entrepreneur, journalist and software developer with a passion for the future of media. He is the founder and CEO of itechne, a company started in Australia to make media easier for everyday people. As a school kid in the late 70s he fell head first into the dual roles of geek and media junkie and never looked back. He launched his first software company at the age of twelve, and progressed from editing school and university papers through to running Asia-Pacific’s top computer magazine and its biggest tech publishing group, becoming an early pioneer in the Internet and digital media. He believes software’s too hard and media too closed.
Jed is an engaging and energetic speaker who connects easily with audiences large and small. He has experience with a wide range of events and venues, from major technology conferences to intimate briefing sessions for senior media executives, influencers and the press. He’s moderated panel discussions with Vint Cerf for Networld+Interop, delivered keynotes to journalists at the MediaConnect KickStart Forum and publishers at the Australian Business Publisher’s Conference, presented to startups and investors at the ANZATech Technology Conference in Silicon Valley, and run sessions at CeBIT and the iMAT Interactive Marketing and Advertising Trends conference.
