Managing Change: When Soft Skills are the Hard Part!

How can we tell the difference between legitimate resistance to change and resistance based solely on personal fears or agendas? How can change initiatives be defined and communicated to maximize effectiveness and minimize adoption issues? When implementing new tools and processes in a publishing environment how can we navigate competing editorial, business, and technical demands on an organization in flux and, most likely, in fear? How do companies, individuals, and even leaders make implementing change more difficult and what can we do about changing THAT?

This roundtable, led by change management expert Ann Michael, will explore a holistic approach to managing change in a publishing environment – adding specific examples from her experience leading and supporting product development and content management system implementations to yours.
