As CTO of Impelsys, Nizar Jamal ensures that the strategy of the products developed by the company meet the requirements of the publishing industry. Impelsys’ products are used by large publishers such as McGrawHill, Elsevier, Wolters Kluwer, BBC, TSO and many smaller publishers.

Mr. Jamal has over 15 years of experience in building and managing software products and services in the US and 5 years in enabling publishers to deliver their content electronically.

As a Director of Engineering at Respond Networks, Mr. Jamal designed a scalable, consumer directed web service that was later branded by Verizon, Qwest and Martindale-Hubble. Mr. Jamal has also maintained senior-level positions at Hitachi Software, Agilent Technologies and Unify Corporation. More recently, Mr. Jamal served as a consultant to Neoteris/Juniper and Solsoft on network security product development and implementation of software configuration management processes.

Mr. Jamal holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin and a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Annamalai University in India.
