John W. Warren has been a pioneer in e-book distribution and development for over a decade. As Director of Marketing, Publications, at the RAND Corporation, he leads marketing programs, e-book and print book distribution in the U.S. and internationally, and library sales, among other responsibilities. John has nearly two decades of experience in publishing, previously managing marketing efforts for Mexican publisher Fondo de Cultura Económica, Sage Publications, and Sylvan Learning, Inc. He has presented at major publishing conferences in the United States and internationally. He has a Masters in International Management from the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at the University of California, San Diego. John has provided consulting services to firms seeking to expand business in Mexico and South America and is a member of the board of directors of the Media Policy Center. John is the winner of the Common Ground International Award for Excellence in the area of the Book for his article “Innovation and the Future of E-Books.”
