In this short, focussed presentation we show one example of how you can put your ONIX data to work, by creating a full catalogue in under five minutes. We show the full process: the data being exported from the bibliographic database; the raw data being transformed (either using an external XSLT processor or natively within InDesign); the data flowing into the InDesign template. All in all the process takes under two minutes; allowing for a narrative it will fit a ten minute window. There’s a short video here which is along the lines of what we’d present, although we’d include more titles to generate a more impressive multi-page catalogue.
