Forrester Research expects ereader sales to double in 2010. What choices are consumers being given today? This session will get you up to speed on what’s come out in the last year and how and where consumers will be using the devices. We’ll also explain why the iPhone and Kindle – major players in 2009 – will see some serious competition in the coming months as waves of Android devices arrive in the marketplace. We’ll look at trends in ebook formats as well as the the emergence of multi-device ecosystems like the Kindle platform and Google Editions.
Liza Daly is the president of Threepress Consulting and an experienced software engineer in digital publishing. In 2010 she is launching Ibis Reader, a cross-platform, HTML5-based mobile web reading system.
