If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you were only allotted 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Would you pitch a project? Introduce a service? Teach a hack? We’re going to find out when we try our first Ignite event at TOC 2010.
Join us for this series of high-energy “speed presentations” hosted by Brady Forrest. If you can’t picture what it would be like, check out the Scott Berkun’s session, How and Why to Give an Ignite Talk and Tim O’Reilly’s Ignite Sebastopol session.

5 stars. Ignite is the new haiku.
I especially liked the ones that were not “commercials.”
Very fun. Expected it to be up and down (which it was), but definitely worthwhile.
I feel bad for some of the speakers who got thrown off their pace due to the slide transition problems you had there. I can see that the speakers worked hard to pace their presentations to the timing you guys set, perhaps in the future you should allow the presenters to switch the slides but still limit the presentation with a cutoff switch.
From the content side, I enjoyed the presenters and their materials.
Ignite is always fun to watch so im really looking forward to seeing it at TOC this year!
