The rapid pace of technology and its adoption by users has increased exponentially in the last few years. At the first O’Reilly TOC conference in June 2007, the Kindle was still on the horizon and mobile apps were just beginning to create buzz in the market. Fast forward just two years and ebooks are exploding in popularity, but do the current electronic carbon copies of print books truly embrace the promise of digital media? Success tomorrow depends on rethinking the digital future today. With emerging technologies, publishers can once again return to the core of creation and innovation – the core of publishing – by embracing true cross-media opportunities as a means to revolutionize the reading experience. Skip Prichard, the CEO and President of Ingram Content Group, will share with you examples of successful change drivers in business and everyday life as well as the lessons and insights he has learned during his career at the helm of top global organizations, including Ingram, LexisNexis, and ProQuest Information & Learning. Learn how to navigate the cultural and organizational changes already happening in our industry and reposition your publishing business for the future.
