Traditional media has dealt in subscriptions for over a century, but with the rise in Internet news and alternative online media forms, the industry must adapt its business model. Poem Flows is an iPhone ereader app that uniquely features two distinct reading modes toggled by the holding hand. In Portrait view, the poem displays conventionally as a scrollable, static block. Turned to Landscape, the same text flows in a gently animating reading movie. Three effects of a flow are engagement, immersion, and delight. TextTelevision is a new way to read on a handheld screen.
Neil Levin (EverPub)
