Digital Sales File Processing – A Key Pillar in Driving Greater Digital Sales Revenue for Publishers

Russell Longo (Sterling Commerce, an IBM Company)

As publishers take greater advantage of the digital economy, new opportunities arise to sell through a wide array of global e-retailers. To take advantage of these revenue growth opportunities, publishers should embrace several improvements in how they manage their growing base of e-retailers.

This presentation will investigate the next-generation digital sales transaction-processing infrastructure required for publishers to grow digital sales, as well as save time and resources for growing new sales channels. Specifically, we will look at how the processing of digital sales processing can be optimized, including:

  • connecting seamlessly with any e-retailers
  • automating the receipt of digital sales files from any e-retailer channels
  • processing the digital sales data (which includes translating the file accordingly) for consumption by any of publisher’s financial systems
