Publishing is as much about accessibility, real-time consumption and interaction across a landscape of devices as it is about the content. Whether buying a text book, searching for articles, or perusing tweets and Facebook updates, customers expect to interact, in real time, with the content they want on the device they choose. In addition, developers of information products and services also expect to be able to access and easily mashup content from multiple sources to create their next generationproducts.
Publishers must not only support this drive towards accessibility, real-time interaction and location awareness across devices, they must lead the way.
Jason Monberg, Vice President of Product Development at MarkLogic, will discuss how developing consumption models are driving a new breed of solutions and information platforms in the publishing industry and how publishers are taking advantage of this fundamental shift throughout the lifecycle of their content.
