Publishers eager to capitalize on the ever-expanding market for eBooks, should have, at least, some understanding of what to expect when converting their print publications to digital. The conversion process isn’t always as simple selecting the ePub export tab in Adobe’s CS5 application. Most importantly, if you are going to engage an overseas (often Indian) conversion service provider, there are some steps you can take to set up a smooth and successful workflow.

codeMantra LLC is one of the industry’s leading publishing software and service providers. In this session Walter Walker, head of the company’s Publishing Services division provides an overview of best practices in dealing with an overseas BPO. For the production manager, or newly appointed digital publisher, looking for ways to streamline the process; reduce re-work and better understand how to get the most for his or her conversion $ this will be an invaluable session.
