Porter Anderson is a critic, journalist, producer, and consultant specializing in publishing and digital disruption of the industry. His weekly Writing on the Ether column is read Thursdays at JaneFriedman.com and Ether for Authors is seen on Tuesdays at PublishingPerspectives.com. Anderson’s Ether work can be tracked on the PublishersMarketplace.com’s Publishers Lunch Automat (the ePublishing tab). He’s also a regular, standing contributor to Writer Unboxed and to Digital Book World’s Expert Publishing Blog . As a journalist, Anderson has worked with CNN USA, CNN International, CNN.com, the Village Voice, the Dallas Times Herald, the Dallas Observer, D Magazine, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and other outlets. In a diplomatic position with the United Nations (P5, Laissez-passer), Anderson was posted to the World Food Programme’s global headquarters in Rome as its Creative Advisor and Multi-Media Manager. In the design field, he has served as Executive Producer and Creative Consultant to Copenhagen’s INDEX: Design to Improve Life under the patronage of HRH Frederik, Prince of Denmark.
